Weekly Catholic Bible Study

Join us for our Weekly Bible Study Classes, conducted online every Saturday at 10:00 am EAT, with each session lasting 1.5 hours.

Our approach diverges from a meticulous, verse-by-verse analysis of the Bible; instead, we provide an overarching perspective that unveils the narrative embedded within the scriptures.

Our study is designed to harmonize seamlessly with other Bible programs, such as "Bible in a Year" by Fr. Mike Schmitz. While we acknowledge the value of these programs, we invite you to embark on this journey with us, where we offer comprehensive outlines and key insights that form the foundation for a richer understanding of subsequent studies.

Delving into both the Old Testament and select portions of the New Testament, our classes incorporate geographical maps of Israel and relevant videos. These visual aids provide participants with insights that may have eluded them during individual readings or previous encounters with biblical narratives.

In summary:

  • Our focus is not on dissecting verses individually, but on imparting historical, topographical, and contextual information to illuminate the overarching biblical story.
  • We encourage you to engage in personal Bible reading, commencing with the Old Testament books recommended in our weekly sessions.
  • The entire study spans one year, with 1.5-hour classes every Saturday morning.
  • Illustrative maps of Israel and neighboring regions will be employed to enhance understanding.
  • Regular attendance is encouraged for a comprehensive learning experience.
  • Additionally, we strongly recommend using scriptures in your prayer with scriptures (Lectio Divina)
  • The course is tailored for women seeking a deeper connection with the scriptures.

Monthly Visit to the Poor

Monthy Visits to Kibagare Slums - Every third Saturday of the Month

Time 2 pm - 4 pm

Our Approach:

Collaborating with a dedicated Social Worker, we identify individuals in dire need within Kibagare Slum, focusing particularly on those facing illness or caring for sick family members. Our primary intervention involves providing essential food supplies to ensure these families have the basics as they navigate challenging circumstances. Additionally, we offer crucial information to guide them in accessing necessary support, such as details on the Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF) and locations of free clinics for medical treatment.

What to Bring:

Contribute to our cause by bringing food supplies for four families during a two-hour visit—this reflects the number of families we can support within that timeframe. In the event of a larger group, we organize ourselves into smaller teams for more effective outreach. Your generous support enables us to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need.
